This will help you and your new pet adjust to one another. We will provide training information, problem correction tips, and answer your questions about life with your new pet. Both you and your dog are welcome to attend one of the sessions.

Basic Obedience - 4 week Course

Course Tuition $80.00 (HST included) covers 4 classes on dates listed below.
There is no substitution of class day or time.

Course Outline:

• Touch Control of your dog
• Territory Management
• Food management
• Meeting other dogs
• Sit Stay
• Down Stay
• Heeling on leash

A Meet and Greet is required before attending class.

There is no cost or obligation to the meet and greet.  This allows you to meet us and see how we train.  It allows us to meet you and your dog and assess that your dog is ready to enter a group environment.

Meet and Greets are generally on Saturday afternoon at 1:30pm

You must call in advance to reserve your space at a Meet and Greet.

Advanced Obedience - 4 week Course

Scent Work and Area Search - 4 week Course

Course Outline:

• Proper indicating and retrieving techniques.
• Identification of different scents.
• Relating article scent to that of article owner.
• Free search for scent foreign to an area.
• Free search for specific scent.

Agility - 4 week Course

Pre-requisite - Basic Obedience, your dog must recall!
Course Tuition $80.00 (HST included) covers 4 classes on dates listed below.
There is no substitution of class day or time.

Course Outline:

• Communication techniques between dog and handler.
• Proper use of obstacles, including towers, tunnels, jumps, A-frame, Dog walk, suspension bridge, swing plank and crawl tunnel.
• Off-leash direction to dog by handler.

Canine Good Neighbour

Classes are Sunday Mornings 10:30am May 1st and May 8th
Certification Testing is Sunday May 15th 2:00pm to 4:00pm
Course Tuition including test fees $50.00
(classes are subject to change based on enrollment)

Course Outline:

Accepting a friendly stranger. Politely accepts petting. Appearance and grooming. Out for a walk. Walking through a crowd. Sit/Down on command and stay in place. Come when called. Praise/Interaction. Reaction to passing dog. Reaction to distraction. Supervised isolation. Walking through door/gate.

Puppy Classes

Helping you start off the right way. This class is designed to teach the new puppy owner the things to do while your puppy is exploring the world. This covers crate training, housebreaking, socialization, nipping, chewing, territorial management, feeding, and you can have all your questions answered.
